The Eye Examination

or contact lenses. If you do need spectacles or contact lenses we will make sure, from our experience,
that the best products to suit your eyes are recommended. More than that we ensure your eyes are carefully
assessed to ensure that present and future health is assured.

To provide you with peace of mind, the health checks on your eyes can include scanning of the retina
for the effects of diabetes, high blood pressure and glaucoma. We use a digital camera to save images of your
retina so that when you return sometime in the future we can compare the images from your previous visits.
Also, we will check for cataracts, macular degeneration and any problems relating to your eyelashes and
eyelids.
In addition, we carry out visual field checks to ensure your peripheral vision is perfect and we are able
to carry out the official DVLA visual field analysis to confirm you are within the legal standard for driving.
